“Sports not only build will power in everyone; But also brings out the power to create our will”
The most highly awaited 11 th Annual Sports Day of our school was conducted on Thursday 15 th August 2019 at our school premises. The program was started with “Tamilthaai valthu”. Our school sports captain proposed a welcome address. National flag, School Flag and Olympic Flag were hoisted by the Principal, Coordinator and the Admin officer respectively. The students were participated in the march past in four houses Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. The teams were led by the Sports captain followed by the house captains. The March past ended with oath taking by the students.
As a symbol of light, Olympic torch was carried by our school state level participants and finally it was lit by our Principal. The Sports meet was declared by the Principal and a pair of dove was freed.
The air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement spreads all over the ground when our young athletes participated in the sports events such as 50m, 100m and200m running, Obstacle race, three leg running and relay. Our school play ground was colourful when our young kids enthusiastically participated in some other colourful events such as water filling, Hoops walk, obstacles walk and running. The winners of the events were appreciated with medals, cups and certificates. The best performance and the overall shield was bagged by the Green house.
It was an awestruck moment for the spectators. When our children presented cultural programs. The students welcomed everyone by their smiling expressions through “Bharatham”. The disciplined behavior of all children was abruptly exhibited through free hand exercises, Mass drill and Dumbles. The rhythmic sounds of lezims made even the little birds to turn their sights towards us. The different postures of yoga by our students were stood high in everyone’s mind. The colourful performance with the saree was the feast for everyone’s eyes. Thus, the program ends with vote of thanks by our school pupil leader.
