The Kaviyans celebrated their 10th Sports Day & 72nd Independence Day on 15th August, Wednesday, with pomp & pride. The programme was started with Tamil Thaai Vazhthu followed by the Welcome Address. The Heads of the Institution unfurled the National flag, Olympic flag and the School flag. The students had a procession of oneness in March past.

The Heads lighted the Olympic torch, which was being carried by the “State level winners” & declared the Sports meet open. On the spot events such as running race 50 mt, 100 mt, 200 mt, etc., were also conducted.

Demonstration was initiated by the Welcome Dance, “Bharatham”. Free hand exercise, Umbrella dance by KG-kids, Mass drill with colorful garland, in the formation of ‘KAVIYAN’, English & Tamil Speech, Karate, Yoga and Oyilaatam were also performed.

To symbolize the “Unity in Diversity”, our kids were dressed up in different state costumes and invited the gathering as Tamilians, Keralites, Kashmirees, Maharastrians and Punjabis and Bengalis. Parents were invited to honor the winners.

Thus the grand celebration came to an end with Vote of Thanks and National Anthem.
