On 19th August 2017, Saturday Kaviyan School celebrated its 9th Sports meet with pompous and pride.
Apt to the saying, " A good beginning makes a good ending" Damodharan of Class X, presented the MOC and the programme was started with Tamil Thaai Vazhthu instrumental by Harini of Class VIII.
Welcome address was presented by Suraksha of Class X. National flag, Olympic flag and school flag were unfurled by Management Representative, Principal and Assistant Head Mistress, respectively. Students of Class VI to Class IX performed March past - a parade of oneness and togetherness.
The Olympic torch was lit and carried by the Zonal level winners - Tharun Raj of Class VI, Evanjal Allin of Class VII, Darwin of Class IX and Yogeshwaran of Class VIII. Oath taking was done by the students and was presented by Jone Sebastin of Class IX. The sports events – Running 200 mts from Class VII to Class X, Relay 4 x 100 mts from Class VII to Class X, collecting the colour balls by LKG, crown walking by UKG, Rotating balls with hoops by Class III & Class IV boys, Kangaroo race by Class V & Class VI boys were initiated. Demonstrations like Mass drill, Pimpom, Yoga, and Silambam were performed by the students.
Winners were honoured with trophies and certificates. The Principal gave a special address. As the final event Vote of Thanks was presented by Harini of Class VIII. The grand celebration came to an end with National Anthem - intrumental by Anusree of Class VIII.
