The first cultural celebration of the year started with the Pongal celebration on 11/1/13. The new year's eve of our Tamil culture was celebrated in a joyous mood.
The programme began with a Tamil group song praising the first month of the Tamil calendar "Thai" where people believe that the beginning of this month brings hope and scope to a new and better life.
The children of class V, VI and VII performed a skit based on Pongal which was followed by a special Pongal message on the four daylong celebrations. Finally the UKG buddies shared from the bottom of their heart their sweet feelings of Pongal O Pongal.
